About

This blog is about the Tennessee Lady Vols in the two sports I follow closely, basketball and softball. I have no official connection with the team and articles here will reflect my thoughts and impressions of the players and games, as well as my less-than-expert knowledge of the same. My opinions will undoubtedly be influenced and augmented by online and print media coverage from official and unofficial sources, and photos used here may be my own or taken from published sources. No infringement on copyrighted material is intended, and any opinion, photo, or video deemed in violation of fair use standards will either be removed or credited to the original author when brought to my attention. As a rule, I will credit photos and opinions upon first publication when the information is available to me.

While the emphasis will be on current teams, some articles may delve into the past or related areas, such as what former players and coaches are doing now, when said topics are of interest to me and, presumably, other dedicated followers of these teams and players.

I began following these teams in earnest when my wife and I moved to Knoxville in the summer of 2010. We have been season ticket holders in both sports since our arrival, which coincided with our retirements. Our basketball seats are on level 2, and our softball seats are behind home plate. We have no previous history with either the University of Tennessee or the Lady Vols, and are actually both graduates of the University of Michigan, a fact which I hope will not be an issue for anyone. We came here not from Michigan but from Florida, where we lived the previous 15 years before becoming halfbacks. I would like to note for the record that at no time during our years in the Sunshine State did we consider ourselves Gators.  Go Lady Vols!
